UK-based fashion brand FatFace has achieved B Corp certification, making it the largest retailer by turnover to receive the accreditation.
B Corp certification recognises companies that meet high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency in areas such as employee benefits, charitable giving, and supply chain practices.
FatFace’s manifesto focuses on three key areas: product, planet, and community. The company has committed to sourcing 100 percent of its cotton responsibly and aims to be carbon neutral by 2025.
Last year, FatFace achieved carbon-neutral status in the UK by planting 60,000 trees as part of its partnership with the National Forest.
Chris Turner, executive director of B Lab UK, says: “We are delighted to welcome FatFace to the B Corp™ community. This is a movement of companies who are committed to changing how the business operates and believe business really can be a force for good. We know that FatFace is going to be a fantastic addition to the community and will continue driving the conversation forward. Their commitment to doing business differently will be an inspiration to others and really help spread the idea that we can redefine success in business to be as much about people and planet as it is about profit”.
