Epic Group recently donated Taka 500,000 to the fund formed by the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), to support people affected by coronavirus.
According to reports, PK Saw, who is the General Manager of Epic Group, handed over the Taka 500,000 cheque and 100,000 face masks to BGMEA President Faruque Hassan on 3 August, which was attended virtually by the Chairman of Epic Group Ranjan Mahtani and the Managing Directors Dinesh Virwani and Sunil Daryanani.
Requesting generous people and organisations to come forward and make financial contributions to the BGMEA’s fund to help the people in need, Faruque stated that given the present coronavirus situation in Bangladesh, the BGMEA has initiated a fund to help people affected by the pandemic as it considers it as a social responsibility.
He further added that from the fund, the garment makers’ body will donate medical equipment and medicines so that it can help people who need it now.
