British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Robert Chatterton Dickson, Ambassador of Switzerland to Bangladesh Nathalie Chuard, UK Minister of State for Foreign Commonwealth and Development Affairs Tariq Ahmad and the US Embassy in Dhaka, have condoled the loss of lives, caused by massive blaze that broke out at the BM Container Depot Limited at Sitakunda in Chittagong on 4 June (Saturday) and said to have killed 49 people besides injuring over 200.
Robert Chatterton Dickson said he was shocked to see reports of the impact of the fire and hear of the lives lost and people injured, while Tariq Ahmad, who is of Bangladeshi origin, also extended his deepest condolences to all those affected by the blaze.
Meanwhile, the US Embassy in Dhaka has also extended its deepest condolences to those affected by the depot fire even as Ambassador of Switzerland to Bangladesh Nathalie Chuard, on behalf of the Embassy of Switzerland, extended sincere condolences to all who lost their loved ones and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
