Waste Management company BEIL Infrastructure Ltd. has received an order from Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Rural) for the development of a tertiary treatment plant at the PM MITRA Textile Park in Lucknow.
The project includes the survey, design, construction, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 16 MLD (million litres per day) tertiary treatment plant for the reuse of treated wastewater at the textile park in Lucknow.
The project is expected to be completed within 21 months and will play a key role in ensuring a reliable and sustainable water supply for the PM MITRA Textile Park in Lucknow.
The park, spread across 1,000 acres, is being developed as a major integrated textile and apparel manufacturing hub.
According to the order, the project will use Ultrafiltration (UF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) technologies to further treat secondary-treated effluent from the 39 MLD Daulat Ganj Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). The treated water will be reused to meet the industrial and domestic water requirements of units operating in the PM MITRA Textile Park.
In addition, BEIL Infrastructure will undertake its operation and maintenance for a period of 15 years, ensuring efficient performance, operational reliability, and the long-term reuse of treated water for industrial and domestic applications within the textile park.
