
Dhaka and Berlin recently signed an agreement to support five projects worth € 20.15 million, aimed at intervening in the textile sector and promoting e-mobility in Bangladesh.
Media reports maintained this adding the five projects, which will receive the € 20.15 million support, will be jointly implemented by Bangladesh’s partner ministries and the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ).
Achim Tröster, the Ambassador of Germany to Bangladesh and Secretary of the Economic Affairs Department of the Ministry of Finance of Bangladesh Fatima Yasmine, reportedly, signed the agreement recently.
As per reports, Achim Tröster emphasised on the common interests of both Bangladesh and Germany to improve the working conditions of workers in the textile processing industry and, if possible, make clean energy accessible to the entire population of Bangladesh.
The grant will also ensure access to clean energy for Bangladeshi citizens, reports added further.
