The 10th edition of Bangladesh Denim Expo begins on 2 May 2019 in Dhaka. Themed ‘Circularity’, the event is organised by Bangladesh Apparel Exchange (BAE).

“We live in a world where we are producing too many apparel products that are then discarded rather than reused, recycled or re-purposed.” He further added that such a linear business model is unsustainable for the future.” – Mostafiz Uddin, Founder and CEO, BAE and Bangladesh Denim Expo
Agreeing to the thoughts of Mostafiz Uddin, Mohiuddin Rubel, MD, BAE, said that the main objective behind selecting ‘Circularity’ as the theme of the show was that it was one of the pressing topics faced by the denim industry as well as by apparel industry.
The two-day event will also witness two panel discussions centering around ‘Circularity’, titled “Innovation Aids Circularity: What Advances Should the Bangladesh RMG Industry Embrace to Develop a Circular Economy?” and “Circularity: What It Means For the Bangladesh RMG Industry, Their Customers and End Consumer.”
Besides, there will also be seminars on subjects ranging from circularity in jeans finishing and recycling in denim industry.
Notably, stalls at the exhibition will be made of repurposed fabrics rolls, which will perfectly complement the theme of the event.
