
In a landmark event, the Green Factory Award 2025 was officially conferred on Tuesday at the China Friendship Conference Center in Dhaka, recognising 30 factories across 16 industrial sectors for their outstanding commitment to environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, waste management, and workplace standards.
The prestigious award highlights Bangladesh’s growing emphasis on eco-friendly industrialisation. The selected companies span diverse sectors including garments, textiles, leather, pharmaceuticals, food processing, steel, ship-breaking, and more, reflecting a broad-based drive toward sustainable development.
From the garment industry, Dhaka Textile Limited, Ecotex Limited, Fakir Fashion Limited, Tarasima Apparels Limited, Auko Tex Limited, and Square Fashions Limited received recognition for their environmentally conscious manufacturing initiatives.
In the textile sector, Akij Textile, Pioneer Denim, KDS Textile Mills, and Four H Dyeing and Printing were honoured for their sustainability efforts.
Other notable awardees include Adzi Trims from the accessories and backward linkage industry, Shoeniverse Footwear from leather and Karupannya Rangpur Limited from the jute sector.
The awards aim to promote environmentally responsible industrialisation, reduce carbon emissions, and uphold best practices in compliance, safety, and sustainability across Bangladesh’s industrial landscape.
