Asics takes a bold step toward sustainability with the launch of its new Neocurve sneaker. Crafted from recycled materials, the shoe incorporates ground-up footwear, deadstock, and defective shoes. To bring this eco-friendly initiative to life, Asics collaborated with Netherlands-based Fast Feet Grinded, a footwear recycling company that disassembled and processed discarded materials provided by the brand.
Designed and crafted in Amsterdam at Studio Hagel, the Neocurve highlights Asics’ commitment to reducing its carbon footprint by minimizing transportation-related CO2 emissions. According to Mathieu Hagelaars, creative director of Studio Hagel, the team drew inspiration from 35 years of Asics’ catalogues stored at its European headquarters. “We aimed to innovate while staying true to the brand’s essence, experimenting to push boundaries and create something fresh and impactful,” he explained.
The Neocurve sneaker is exclusive to Europe, showcasing Asics’ dedication to sustainable practices and innovative design. This initiative reinforces the brand’s pledge to reduce waste and embrace environmentally conscious production processes.
