Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie’s passion project, Atelier Jolie, has taken a sustainable leap with its inaugural collection in collaboration with Chloé. The line, crafted in partnership with former Chloé creative director Gabriela Hearst, presents a range of timeless pieces echoing a palette of neutrals and essentials.
The garments, include a tan camisole with a scalloped neckline, a black tailored blazer, a white suit vest, and a dark velvet cloak. Notably, a white tank top in the collection is inspired by an embroidered cotton dress from Jolie’s childhood, repurposed as a shirt.
The collaboration integrates deadstock materials (leftovers of the fashion industry) and natural fabrics like organic silk, organic crepe de chine, and wool. At least 80 per cent of the collection comprises “lower-impact materials,” emphasising the commitment to reducing the fashion industry’s carbon footprint.
Partnering with organisations such as Akanjo and La Fabrique Nomade, the collection extends its impact beyond fashion. Akanjo, a World Fair Trade Organization, empowers artisans in Madagascar, while La Fabrique Nomade supports refugee and migrant artisans in France, aligning with the ethical values upheld by Atelier Jolie and Chloé.
The Chloé x Atelier Jolie collection is slated for release in January 2024.
