For most Indians, Zurich or Davos are just places noted for world economic forums. But now there is some other, even more exciting reason for us, particularly those in the textile and apparel industry, to look towards Davos with enthusiasm.
Vanduta Khurana, President of Delhi-based export house Daks India, is in Davos to address the premium World Forum on ‘Communication on Top’. Representing the Indian apparel community, Khurana will address world-class communication experts on the Social Media Offline. “I am very glad that we, in the textile/export community, have started to pay attention to representing women,” she told Apparel Resources from Zurich.
“It is one of the biggest events for communication experts from across the world, and for us it’s a proud moment to have Vanduta speak there on our concept n2-X, which we co-founded, along with a scientist from the US. n2-X is world’s first social media offline brand of bag-pack. It will change the way people connect without using internet,” said Anil Khurana, her husband, and CEO of the company.
Vanduta, who is in the process of setting up VandaK, an upcoming fashion brand for enterprising women, in the next few months, is also writing a paper on entrepreneurial form of democracy that is so designed that every politician becomes accountable. For lack of better word, she calls it e-Democracy.
Apart from Vanduta, a few Indian speakers Tanuja Kehar, Vice-President, Corporate Communications at Unitech, Rasha Goel, US entertainer, International Correspondent, TV Host, Emmy Nominated Producer, Actress and Dr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, National Executive Vice-President of the Bharatiya Janata Party are also going to be part of the event.
