Four-decade-old Turkey-based TIT Zippers, well-known for its metal zippers, is just three years into the Bangladesh market. But it is growing at a fast rate, expecting 25 per cent growth this year.
If things go as per the company’s plans, it will be in a position to set up a factory in Bangladesh as well. “In the past three years, we have seen good growth, and this year too we expect the same,” Md Samsul Hoque Adnan, Marketing Manager, TIT Zippers Bangladesh Liaison office told Apparel Resources. “This year, our turnover from Bangladesh will be approximately US $ 1.5 million. Our quality is perfect, but prices are much less compared to others. Similarly, our production lead time is nine days for 100,000 pieces, and we ship all our orders through air, especially in case of Bangladesh. This way, our customers don’t face any problems.”

Working in this sector for the past 16 years, Md Samsul Hoque Adnan claims to have a good understanding of the industry as well as share strong relations with the different stakeholders in the industry. This, he says gives him in an edge to compete with the others in the market. As an ISO- and Oeko Tech-certified company, it meets all necessary norms and regulations, demanded by garment exporters. The company is also approved by many renowned buyers/brands.
He admitted that the market is challenging, but the quality and service provided by them has helped them grow. “Our goal is to set up a factory in Bangladesh, but it may take a little time. We would first need to ensure sufficient gas and power supply apart from other factors for our infrastructure,” he added.
