
No matter how upbeat conditions are for any particular product category, the growth of more than 200 per cent in turnover and profit is not easy. However, Daman-based Fiberweb India has achieved that as it noticed 219 per cent growth in its turnover during last one year while net profit surged by 211 per cent.
The company, involved in manufacturing and export of Spun Bond nonwoven Fabrics with state-of-the-art German machinery is a 100% EOU. It exports its products to countries like the US, the UK, the Europe and Australia. There fabric is used in protective garments in hospitals and industries, baby diapers and soil covers.
“Apart from manufacturing and exporting garbage and carrier bags, the company has also established its flagship unit for Spun Bond Nonwoven Fabrics, being the first of its kind in India,” says its website.
Claiming itself debt-free, the company says that healthy export order book position is due to the constant development of products and better research and development. It also completed the first phase expansion recently.
For the year ending on 31st March 2108, the company had the turnover of Rs 286.16 crore compared to Rs 130.43 crore of the previous year. Similarly, for the year ending on 31st March 2108, its net profit was Rs. 36.30 crore which was Rs 17.24 crore last year.
