The designer, Hussein Chalayan has expanded his role at Vionnet from only working on the couture line to its ready-to-wear (RTW) line too. He was appointed as the French house’s demicouture designer in January 2014, and will “work alongside Albino Damato and Diego Dolcini, providing his unique point of view to the Vionnet world,” the company revealed. “My plans for the immediate future of Vionnet aim at strengthening the Vionnet codes, working on focused design concepts while finding a piercing coherence amongst its many components,” Vionnet owner and creative director Goga Ashkenazi said. Chalayan presented his first demi-couture offering for the house in January 2014. The brand’s next ready-to-wear show will take place in Paris on 30th September 2015.
