Fire, prima facie stoked by an electrical short-circuit, gutted the fabric store in JJ Fabrics’ facility in Sector 63, Noida. Spotted by a factory guard, the broke-out was reported to the Gautam Budh Nagar Fire Station. It took a total of 10 fire-tenders and four hours to bring the fire under control. Fire department officials said that raw material and readymade stock stored in the factory caught fire easily, due to which the fire spread quickly.
The blaze started on the ground floor and soon moved on to the top floor. Reportedly, there has been no loss of life linked to the incident. The cost of total property loss, however, is yet to be ascertained.
