AI-powered virtual fashion try-on software company Zyler is claiming over 30 per cent of sales on the John Lewis Fashion Rental site now are down to following its visualisation tool.
What’s more, it says 16 per cent of web visitors engage with Zyler with an average of 52 outfits viewed per user. “These findings exceeded our expectations and demonstrate a huge customer response to our try-on technology,” said Zyler CEO Alexander Berend.
Customers can view how an outfit appears on them before renting it thanks to the associated “Try it On” option on the John Lewis Fashion Rental website, according to Zyler. “This is crucial because many are looking to rent clothing for an important and time-sensitive event,” she added.
Customers who want to try the costume on virtually from the comfort of their home upload a headshot and sizing information, “ensuring that the virtual try-on experience is as accurate as possible.”
When John Lewis agreed to test the virtual try-on technology last summer, he claimed it was a first for a UK rental business.
Customers may upload a headshot and input their height, bra size, and dress size for the service, which is available across 750 items. It’s powered by rental juggernaut HURR, and Zyler claimed that past tests had revealed that utilising the technology, the average client would swipe through 250 different outfits.
