Trent Ltd.’s value-fashion retail brand Zudio has crossed the milestone of 1,000 stores in India across more than 300 cities and has served over 100 million customers since its inception. The brand’s store network increased from 766 stores in Q1 FY26 to 982 stores in Q1 FY27, before crossing the 1,000-store mark in September.
More than 80% of the new Zudio stores opened during Q1 FY27 were located in Tier-II and Tier-III cities, highlighting Trent’s focus on expanding its value-fashion format beyond major metropolitan markets.
Trent reported standalone revenue from operations of Rs 5,666.30 crore (US $593.01 million) in Q1 FY27, up 18.51% year-on-year, while standalone net profit increased 25.84% to Rs 531.77 crore (US $55.66 million). Standalone operating EBITDA rose 36% year-on-year to Rs 847 crore (US $88.64 million).
At the consolidated level, Trent’s revenue increased 18% year-on-year to Rs 5,754.71 crore (US $602.06 million) in Q1 FY27, while consolidated net profit rose 21% to Rs 519.01 crore (US $54.32 million).
Zudio has built its retail model around a domestic supply chain and relatively low price points, with most apparel products priced below Rs 1,000. The brand has also continued to expand its store network as demand for affordable fashion grows across smaller Indian cities.
The 1,000-store milestone comes as Trent continues to focus on its larger retail concepts, including Zudio and Westside. Reports in August indicated that the company was winding down its affordable ethnicwear brand Utsa as part of this broader retail strategy.
With the latest expansion, Zudio has become one of the largest organised value-fashion retail networks in India, while Trent continues to add stores across both established and emerging markets.
