Hirestreet in the UK has developed a white-label Rental-as-a-Service product called Zoa in 2021.
Currently serving French Connection Rental, Hirestreet, Rathbones Tailor and Cameron Ross, the company provides technology, operational support and strategic advice to retailers looking to launch a rental service.
Shan Mandora, Commercial Director of Zoa Rental, said the company was ‘delighted’ to launch rental lab and welcome key businesses as participants. Clearly, they need to develop technology solutions that enable circular experiences that customers love and that is easy for brands to adopt. This can be most effectively achieved by partnering with some of the world’s best-known companies.
Zoa Rental Lab claims to be the first UK initiative of its kind, bringing together the country’s fashion businesses to develop the future of sustainable retail.
By putting the consumer at the centre, it aims to solve current problems and provide a streamlined experience for both circular models – rental and resale.
In their quest for sustainability and to reach the goal of 20 per cent of goods sold through circular models by 2030, fashion companies are increasingly turning to rental and resale strategies.
