
Melbourne’s Westfield Knox, a renowned retail hub in Australia, prepares to unveil its new precinct, heralding the arrival of prominent international fashion brands like Glassons, originally from New Zealand. Commencing on 23rd November, this addition marks a significant phase in the centre’s US $ 355 million redevelopment project, solidifying leases with fashion giants like Uniqlo, JD Sports, General Pants, and Glue Store.
Sam Glasson, property and logistics manager at Glassons, expressed enthusiasm about their debut in one of Australia’s esteemed retail destinations, anticipating that the Knox community will embrace their array of trending pieces, wardrobe essentials, and everything in between.
Kristian Nicholls, Westfield Knox’s centre manager, emphasised the significance of these new additions, stating, “The introduction of these brands bolsters our evolving retail landscape, underscoring our commitment to providing our customers with relevant, enticing brands and convenient access to their desires right in their local area.”
Spanning across 1,154 square meters, the new Uniqlo store at Knox will house ten fitting rooms and five self-checkout machines. The store will feature the latest 2023 Spring/Summer collection, including a range of linen products and essential wardrobe items. Fuminori Adachi, CEO of Uniqlo Australia, noted the addition of 57 new team members and the transfer of five existing team members, expressing excitement about introducing Tokyo’s LifeWear range to Australian customers.
The unveiling of the new precinct coincides with the Westfield Week of Offers sales event, encompassing Black Friday and Cyber Monday. In celebration, Westfield Knox plans exclusive giveaways, live music, roaming entertainment, and activities for children to mark this significant launch.
