Vipul Organics Ltd., an Indian manufacturer of pigments, pigment dispersions, and dyes heavily utilized in the textile industry, has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Switzerland-based Omya Group, granting the global minerals company sole rights to market and distribute the Indian firm’s pigment products across most of Europe.
The agreement marks a significant step in Vipul Organics’ international expansion strategy and is expected to strengthen the company’s presence in key European markets.
Under the arrangement, Omya will distribute Vipul Organics’ SunTone® and SunCoat® pigment dispersions and powders across Europe, including the United Kingdom, Norway and several Balkan countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania and Moldova. The agreement excludes Switzerland and Poland, according to a regulatory filing by the company.
Vipul Organics stated that the partnership forms an important component of its global growth plans. Managing Director Vipul P. Shah said the collaboration with Omya is expected to play a significant role in expanding the company’s international footprint and supporting its growth ambitions over the next five years.
Omya operates as a privately held global minerals and specialty materials company with a workforce of approximately 9,000 employees across 160 manufacturing sites in 50 countries. The company maintains an extensive distribution network comprising more than 170 locations, supported by regional warehouses and laboratories throughout Europe.
Vipul Organics’ SunTone® pigment range caters to a broad spectrum of industries, including textiles and other industries. Meanwhile, its SunCoat® portfolio serves applications such as interior and exterior decorative coatings, paper coatings, detergents and shoe polish.
The Maharashtra-based specialty chemicals manufacturer operates three production facilities and exports its products to more than 50 countries. The company said the partnership with Omya will provide European customers with local technical support while expanding access to its pigment product portfolio across the region.
