Silky Vietnam, a Vietnamese fashion brand, recently introduced its new yoga clothing line ‘Silky 2.0’, which allows energy to flow smoothly without blockages, especially during yoga moves. The assortment is made with 100 per cent organic silk and is dyed with natural (plant-based) dyes. The brand’s special threading technique further takes stretch-ability and durability of silk to a whole new level. Its smooth stitching prevents chafing and irritation on skin of the wearer.
Moreover while stretching or bending, the silk thread – made from cocoon, a composite in which fibroin is coated with an adhesive sericin protein – supports the hydrogen bonding, which reinforces each other against outside forces, giving silk such extensibility and strength.
The collection has a range of unique characteristics, from antibacterial, antifungal and anti-UV to breathable for sensitive skin, anti-aging and odour-free. Apart from its lightweight and breathable quality, Silky uniforms are also easier to wash and dry quickly. The company says that it developed Silky 2.0 – made with natural fibre, loosen cut and light colours – especially for yoga enthusiasts.
