Leading D2C enabler in India, Velocity has launched ‘Shipfast’, a new solution aimed at helping Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) businesses offer faster delivery options to their customers. Recognising the growing demand for quick delivery services, Shipfast will enable D2C brands to offer 4-hour, same-day, and next-day shipping directly through their own websites.
This move empowers D2C brands to own the entire customer journey, including the critical delivery experience, while avoiding the high commission fees associated with quick-commerce platforms like Zepto, Blinkit, and Swiggy Instamart.
Shipfast addresses the challenges faced by D2C brands in fulfilling orders quickly and efficiently. By leveraging a network of leading logistics partners, including Delhivery, Shadowfax, Ekart, and EcomExpress, Shipfast optimizes delivery workflows to minimize delays and ensure timely order fulfillment across multiple cities in India.
The Co-Founder and CEO of Velocity, Abhiroop Medhekar has also said that the company’s mission is to ’empower D2C brands’ in India. He also said that growth can be increased by an additional 30-40 per cent growth through faster deliveries as it’ll ensure higher instances of ‘customer conversions’ and ‘repeat purchases’.
Shipfast incorporates a combination of internal early-warning systems for potential delivery roadblocks and proprietary AI agents to proactively address and resolve issues, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free delivery experience for customers.
Velocity, backed by Peter Thiel’s Valar Ventures, has already served over 5,000 customers and financed more than 1,200 e-commerce businesses since its inception in 2020. With Shipfast, Velocity aims to further empower D2C brands to thrive in the competitive Indian e-commerce market by providing them with the tools and resources to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
