David’s Bridal, the well-known US clothing retailer, has said that it has bought the assets of custom wedding dress start-up Anomalie.
As a part of the acquisition deal, Leslie Voorhees Means, who is currently the Co-founder and CEO of Anomalie, will join David’s Bridal to lead the implementation of new strategic initiatives.
The terms of the deal, however, were not disclosed.
Anomalie will no longer run as a standalone firm; however, its assets, team and tech will be incorporated into David’s Bridal digital offerings.
The company did not further present what products or services will be offered as a result of the acquisition. It, however, added that Leslie Voorhees Means will build tools that fulfill the mission of helping brides throughout every step of the wedding journey.
David’s Bridal, which specialises in wedding dresses and prom gowns, runs 298 stores in 49 states, Canada and the United Kingdom.
