In the UK, where shoppers are grappling with price increases across various consumer services and product sectors, Uniqlo has lowered prices for items such as cashmere sweaters, merino wool pieces, and hoodies.
Alessandro Dudech, the UK Area Manager of Uniqlo, told the Telegraph that the business is able to provide more affordable rates on high-end products because of a drop in some material costs. Uniqlo has 17 locations throughout the UK.
Even though it has a smaller retail base than Next (500 stores) or Zara (70 stores), Uniqlo still sees a lot of development potential in the UK market. The Japanese retail behemoth operates on a different business model than fast-fashion retailer Shein or trend-driven Zara. Uniqlo prioritises the quality and practicality of their apparel, staying away from ostentatious logos and letting the goods do the talking.
