
US-based apparel retailer Under Armour has reported that its net revenues zoomed 31 per cent to US $ 1.17 billion in the fourth quarter ended on December 31, 2015 compared with net revenues of US $ 895 million in the corresponding period last year.
Operating income at Under Armour surged by 21 per cent in the period under review to US $ 178 million against US $ 146 million in the same period last year. Additionally, net income climbed 21 per cent to US $ 106 million compared with US $ 88 million in the prior year’s period.
Also, the clothing retailer, for the full year 2015, noted 28 per cent rise in net revenues to US $ 3.96 billion against US $ 3.08 billion in the previous year and the company’s previous forecast of US $ 3.91 billion. Operating income in FY15 grew 15 per cent to US $ 409 million compared with US $ 354 million in the prior year and the retailer’s prior estimation of US $ 408 million.

Apparel net revenues at Under Armour amplified 22 per cent to US $ 2.80 billion compared with US $ 2.29 billion in the previous year. Furthermore, the growth at the retailer got boost from the footwear segment as net revenues here surged 57 per cent to US $ 678 million in 2015 compared to US $ 431 million in 2014. Net revenues from accessories section too witnessed healthy growth, marking 26 per cent increase to reach US $ 347 million in 2015 compared with US $ 275 million in 2014.
