Australia-based The Woolmark Company has collaborated with British designer Christopher Raeburn for the upcoming Autumn/Winter edition of London Fashion Week, scheduled to be held from February 19-23.
The designer will present a womenswear assortment at the London Fashion week, bringing the iconic Woolmark brand and Merino wool at centre-stage. Raeburn’s Autumn/Winter ’16 collection will reframe eternal iconic outerwear and base layering pieces by exploring the technical advances of Merino wool which is known for its outstanding functionality – it moderates temperature and humidity, manages moisture, is flame-resistant, anti-microbial, and has a natural crimp for stretch and recovery.

Besides, designer’s love for sustainable apparels, along with his signature re-appropriation of fabrics and meticulous attention to historical detail, will be highlighted through use of Merino wool – a natural, biodegradable and renewable fibre.

Other than this, 45 designers will show their collections in the Designer Showrooms for the first time this season, including knitwear designers such as Caitlin Charles-Jones; Yakshi Malhotra who uses domestic machines and artisanal techniques to create interesting textures, and more.
Also, brands like Fleet Ilya, Fyodor Golan, Georgia Hardinge, Holly Fulton, Loxley England, Phoebe Coleman, Stephen Jones Millinery, William Chambers Millinery and Zoë Jordan are set to make come back at A/W ’16 London Fashion Week.
