Within the next three weeks, Ted Baker administrators intend to close all of its UK locations. Fifteen stores have closed since the fashion retailer’s UK branch, No Ordinary Designer Label, failed in March, but all remaining employees have been informed they will lose their jobs, The Sun reports. It is acknowledged that the plans have not been finalised despite the communication to the staff.
Prior to its demise, Ted Baker employed over 975 people and operated 46 locations in the UK. The US company Authentic Brands, which owns the intellectual property for Ted Baker along with David Beckham, Reebok, and Hunter, has been looking for a new partner to manage the brand’s online and retail operations in the UK and Europe.
