After witnessing a whopping year-on-year (Y-o-Y) jump of 62 per cent for months of April and May, the UK-based womenswear e-tailer Sosandar has announced its new partnership with Next and John Lewis.
The lockdown has been a saviour for Sosandar majorly owing to 98 per cent rise in traffic as well as consumers’ growing preference for casualwear during this period.
While the revenue soared in this period for the e-tailer, the order numbers rose by astounding 44 per cent. New customer acquisition too increased by 15 per cent – and all this despite a 69 per cent reduction in marketing costs.
The partnership will witness Sosandar sell its apparels on the websites of both the retailers. The e-tailer believes this alliance will also help further increase its rising sales in the coming months.
It will go live on the retailers’ websites in Autumn/Winter 2020.
Ever since the e-tailer announced about the revenue jump and the alliance with the two retailers, its shares too surged.
Sosandar, which was started almost 2 decades back, is known for creating some of the best womenswear in its own in-house design studio and, notably, in limited runs as the e-tailer believes no woman wants to wear the same thing that everybody else wears. It generates revenue of 5.42 million GBP.
In addition to stocking its own brand by the same name, Sosandar also stocks third-party brands like Superga and Havaina.
