In an effort to increase its footprint in Europe, Secret Sales, a discount fashion and beauty marketplace, has acquired two Dutch brands.
The contract with To Be Dressed and online department store V&D (Vroom & Dreesmann) is one of the company’s largest acquisitions to date.
Secret Sales said it was “proud” to be a part of V&D’s journey after the shop filed for bankruptcy in 2016 and relaunched its online presence. The company plans to “honour its legacy while re-establish it as the most exciting, relevant, and trusted fashion destination in the Netherlands.”
V&D will have access to more than 4,500 brands and billions of euros’ worth of items that are available on Secret Sales’ platform following the acquisition.
With the new agreement, Secret Sales is now available in seven European markets.
Chris Griffin, CEO of the company, described the addition of V&D to the Secret Sales family as a proud milestone. He highlighted the opportunity to build on V&D’s remarkable legacy and re-establish it as a modern, go-to destination for fashion in the Netherlands. Griffin also expressed enthusiasm about welcoming To Be Dressed to the company’s expanding European platform, noting that both brands will play a key role in shaping the next phase of Secret Sales’ growth journey.
