SBC Exports Limited has entered the direct-to-consumer (D2C) apparel market with the launch of the digital platform for its fashion brand, F-Route Clothing, as the company seeks to diversify revenue streams and strengthen its presence in India’s growing online retail sector.
The move marks a strategic shift for the company, which has traditionally been focused on textile manufacturing and export operations. By establishing a consumer-facing retail channel, SBC Exports aims to enhance its market reach and create additional growth opportunities while improving long-term shareholder value.
The new e-commerce platform will enable F-Route Clothing to sell directly to consumers, eliminating intermediary distribution channels. This is expected to allow the company to retain a greater share of retail margins and improve overall profitability.
The platform will also serve as a direct sales channel for products manufactured at the company’s facilities in Mirzapur and Sahibabad. Management believes the initiative will help improve inventory management by facilitating the liquidation of seasonal stock while supporting higher production utilisation across its manufacturing operations.
SBC Exports is positioning F-Route Clothing to capitalise on the rapid growth of India’s online fashion market, with a particular focus on Gen-Z and millennial consumers.
F-Route Clothing’s product portfolio spans apparel for men, women and children. The men’s collection includes polo T-shirts, formal shirts, cargo trousers and lounge pants. The women’s range features dresses, jumpsuits, crop tops and co-ord sets. The children’s segment consists of categories such as shirts, T-shirts, joggers and dresses.
The launch comes as a growing number of Indian textile and apparel manufacturers seek to move closer to consumers through D2C channels, leveraging digital platforms to improve margins, strengthen brand visibility and reduce dependence on traditional wholesale and distribution networks.
