Good relations with buyers increase the probability of business and also give scope for product enhancement. Sachit Creations, Delhi has recently started manufacturing shirts and shorts, a new product category for existing buyers. Over the past few months it has already exported almost Rs.1 crore worth of these products, and now the company is looking at these two categories as drivers of growth.
“We were offering our regular products to a Canada-based wholesaler like top, dresses, etc. and he asked us to start shirts and shorts. We just added few specialized machines and started product, but now we see these two items as a strong part of our product basket in the future. Average FOB for shorts is US $ 3.80 while for shirts it is US $ 5.25. As both products are for men, women and kids, opportunity of orders increases naturally,” says Sachit Chawla, Director of the 1½ decade old company.
The company is having more than 90 per cent of its business with Dubai and now it is exploring Australian markets also as it is expecting to get business from there during the lean season of existing buyers. According to Sachit, Dubai too is a little slow currently, so new markets are must for growth.
