
Rupa and Company Ltd., one of the leading innerwear and knitted garment companies, has announced its third-quarter results. Though the net profit and revenue of the company are negatively impacted in this quarter, it is optimistic about long-term growth.
The company has also announced its massive national and international retail expansion.
During Q3 of FY ’23, the company had a drop of 91 percent in its net profit to Rs. 6 crore while the same was Rs. 58 crore reported in Q3 of FY ’22.
Its revenue for the third quarter of the current financial year was also down by 46 percent to Rs. 236 crore, compared to Rs. 433 crore in the third quarter of last fiscal.
In its earnings report, the company said that it is optimistic about posting strong numbers in the coming quarters and is expecting its revenue to grow 5 times by FY ’24 from FY ’22 revenue of Rs. 33 crore.
It also announced the rollout of 150 more EBOs in the next 2 years and its focus on new emerging markets to double current exports and increase share in the premium category.
The company also has plans to launch itself in the global online market of UAE via Amazon and increase brand presence across 1000 plus points of sales in the next two years.
