
The Very Group, the renowned clothing retailer from the UK, has seen its year-on-year (Y-o-Y) revenue increase by 18.2 per cent to clock £1.88 billion.
The profit before tax for the Group rose by a whopping 68.8 per cent to touch £81.7 million for the year ended 3 July 2021.
The Group EBITDA also jumped by 13.7 per cent to £300.5 million. The phenomenal EBITDA numbers were attributed to both improved retail sales and better cost management.
Category-wise, the Group’s kidswear section saw its Y-o-Y sales rise by 67.7 per cent, while the womenswear sales increased by 50.1 per cent. The menswear sales at the Group were up by a good 24.3 per cent.
Fashion and sports category too saw a Y-o-Y rise of 11.6 per cent.
What’s been more pleasing for the retailer during the year was the 12.4 per cent jump (3.82 million) in Very’s customers.
The Group also said that besides improvements in digital customer experience, extending next day delivery cut-offs from 7 to 10 PM also helped it achieve good numbers.
