British luxury automotive company Land Rover has introduced its first fashion and lifestyle collection under the Range Rover brand. The debut collection of the Range Rover London features eight pieces designed in-house under the creative direction of Gerry McGovern, Jaguar Land Rover’s chief creative officer. As per reports, the collection is inspired from Range Rover’s signature modernist design and British heritage.
Handcrafted in the UK and Italy, the capsule collection includes men’s and women’s reversible jackets, silk scarves, wool-cashmere blend blankets, and two limited-edition Range Rover model sculptures.
Jackets ‘Knightsbridge Promenade’ and ‘Soho Chic’ are the highlight of the collection as it features classic lines, distinctive quilting, and luxurious materials. Bespoke zip fastenings, inspired by vintage Range Rover rotary dials and finished in Sunset Gold, are a nod to the brand’s heritage. The “Knightsbridge Promenade” jacket is reversible, with brown on one side and pink quilted detailing on the other. The “Soho Chic” jacket also reverses, showcasing a quilted side and a bold graphic print in raspberry and blush.
Two 100 per cent silk scarves, “About Town” and “Chelsea Blossom,” feature prints echoing the collection’s themes. The “About Town” scarf was printed in Lake Como, Italy, while the “Chelsea Blossom” scarf was printed and crafted in Macclesfield, UK. Both scarves are produced in limited quantities with hand-finished edges. Two patterned virgin wool-cashmere blankets, woven on jacquard looms in Italy, complete the collection.
Range Rover plans to expand its product offerings globally, including previews at select locations, and further lifestyle collections are planned for later this year.
