
Some good times for The Very Group, as the UK retailer sees surge in its sales and profits.
The British fashion retailer saw its group sales rise by 3.9 per cent to £484.1 million in the 13 weeks that ended 2 October 2021.
Notably, revenue at the Group’s flagship website rose 9.6 per cent year-on-year (Y-o-Y) to £403.8 million. However, the revenue at Littlewoods fell by as much as 17.7 per cent to £80.3 million.
Also, the Group saw its EBITDA before exceptional items, for the quarter, surge by 21.7 per cent Y-o-Y to clock £70.1 million.
Besides, the pre-tax profit shot up to £13.5 million at an exceptional growth of 57 per cent.
Stating about categories, the Group said its biggest growth in the quarter came from the fashion and sports section, which saw a rise of 14.5 per cent.
The retailer attributed the good fashion and sports numbers to robust performances in high-street womenswear brands, as well as men’s and women’s casualwear.
