A long-term partnership between the German sportswear company Puma and the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has been announced. Early in 2025, the alliance will reveal its first new products and creative direction.
According to a statement from the firm, starting next year, Puma will outfit all male, female, and youth football teams as well as the federation’s futsal, beach football, and e-sports teams.
“Given the enormous global fan base and the enormous potential of this team’s next generation, we are excited for the forthcoming major competitions like the 2026 World Cup,” stated Arne Freundt, chief executive at Puma.
The sportswear firm worked with Eusébio, better known as “O Rei” (the “King”), in the 1960s, for whom it created the iconic Puma King football boot. According to Puma, the deal gives the company an opportunity to continue making Portuguese football history.
