Ba&sh, the French womenswear brand, has, reportedly, adjusted its product pricing strategy amidst rising fabric costs.
While confirming the same at the launch of Ba&sh x Veja collaborative collection, Pierre-Arnaud Grenade, CEO, Ba&sh, said that greater demand for sustainable fabrics, from the industry, has resulted in rising manufacturing costs for the retailer.
Notably, Ba&sh aims to use at least 70 per cent of eco-friendly responsible materials in 95 per cent of its collections by 2023.
And these include organic and recycled cotton, recycled polyester, organic, recycled and certified wool, and leather sourced from Leather Working Group-certified tanneries.
In order to handle the increasing costs of fabrics, Ba&sh has increased the prices of all its products by less than 3 per cent on average.
Pierre-Arnaud Grenade added “We’ve been adjusting our prices very reasonably [and] there are some prices that we stick to.”
Ba&sh has 270 stores across 17 countries, including China, the UK and France. It has 500 wholesale stockists worldwide, that include Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Brown Thomas.
