In FY ’26, Popees Baby Care, a well-known retailer of baby care supplies, including apparel, intends to open 42 more locations, increasing its total to 118. With one store in each of the nation’s major cities and other major cities, the expansion will mostly take place in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
According to the corporation, the growth plan will help Popees grow into one of the biggest national brands for babies and childcare. By the end of this month, it plans to open four more outlets under its exclusive brand in Kerala. The business is also preparing to open two showrooms in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah as part of its launch.
The Popees Group’s chairman and managing director, Shaju Thomas, stated that the company wishes to establish itself as a retailer rather than a distributor because its portion of retail revenues is increasing gradually.
It is anticipated that the current expansion will help the company become one of the biggest national baby and childcare brands, he added. According to him, the business plans to expand its line of SKUs in the future to include more expensive toys and shoes in order to fully realise their enormous potential.
The company manufactures everything from fabric wash and baby wipes to soap and baby oil. Toys, baby soap, body wash, shampoo, lotions, and towels are among the products offered, but clothing still accounts for a sizable portion of sales. With three plants and more than 2,000 employees, the company can currently create 5 lakh garments per month.
