
Lane Bryant, the exclusive plus-size retailer, is partnering with blogger Tanesha Awasthi to launch their first-ever influencer product collaboration. The collection will be unveiled during New York Fashion Week later in the year in collaboration with Reunited Clothing.
Tanesha Awasthi is the founder of the blog Girl With Curves and boasts of about 320K Instagram followers. The blog revolves around fashion, beauty and lifestyle and addresses the women of the age group of 25 to 45. The blog today has attained about 1.6 million subscribers since its inception in 2013.
The line encompasses of a total of 20 garment pieces including dresses, sportswear separates, outerwear and denims, designed to favor curves. This assortment of garments will be made in sizes ranging from 12 to 28 and reasonably priced at $34.95 to $149.95.
The Lane Bryant X Girl With Curves collection is being described as “classically feminine” and “polished but practical,” with reasonable prices, with the aim to bridge the work to weekend gap. The products are inspired by the blogger’s readership and her Californian style of clothing — jeans, a T-shirt and sneakers.
The said collection will be available for sale 9th September onwards via Lane Bryant stores and their e-commerce platform, lanebryant.com. Tanesha Awasthi will also put the spotlight on the collection through a two-day pop-up at 393 Broadway starting September 9th itself.
Commenting on the current plus-size market, Awasthi said, “For a long time, the curvy girl was left out of the conversation. I don’t think the world realized that all women, no matter what size, want to feel amazing, look amazing and we all care about some aspect of fashion.”
