Pharrell Williams’ vibrant debut collection for Louis Vuitton has officially touched down in California at the French luxury label’s new men’s pop-up shop in West Hollywood.
The temporary store, located off Melrose Avenue across from Cecconi’s restaurant and open to the public from 4th January through mid-March, recreates the Pont Neuf, Paris’ oldest bridge. This bridge is where Louis Vuitton’s newly appointed men’s creative director—along with Virgil Abloh—staged his Spring Summer 2024 show last June.
The room’s golden interior design includes a floor with a Damier pattern, architectural moulding that resembles Paris’s famous bridge, and street lamps.
The entire Williams Spring Summer 2024 collection of Louis Vuitton menswear, including trunks, accessories, jewellery, leather goods, luggage, and shoes, is on display at the pop-up shop. Items from the collection include Horizon luggage, Keepall travel bags, and Trail backpacks, as well as shoes like the LV Trainer, the Palace Slipper, and the Footprint Low Boot.
Notable pieces on show include designs featuring Damoflage, the digitised Damier and monogram motif that Williams is known for; a Speedy 40 Black Tie embroidered with pearls and crystals; and one-of-a-kind pieces made in partnership with Los Angeles artist Henry Taylor.
8th February will see a second goods drop because the pop-up boutique is the only Louis Vuitton site on the West Coast dedicated just to its men’s Spring Summer 2024 line. In addition, a pop-up shop in Soho, New York, that is identical to the one in Los Angeles, recently opened.
The space kicks off a global rollout for Louis Vuitton with additional activations planned over the next three months in more than 50 Louis Vuitton boutiques, temporary spaces and department stores.
