US department store chain Nordstrom has added three new executive members to its merchandising and store organisation teams.
The newly appointed chief merchandiser is Jamie Nordstrom. At Nordstrom, he has held a number of prominent positions, including chief stores officer. Teri Bariquit, who earlier this year retired, is replaced by him.
“Our merchandising organisation is the backbone of Nordstrom, and our teams are exceptional at providing best-in-class service and a relevant, inspiring product offering for our customers,” president and chief brand officer Pete Nordstrom said in a statement.
Fanya Chandler has also been named head of the Nordstrom retail division. In the US company, Chandler has held a number of executive positions; most recently, he was senior vice president and regional manager of the Southwest region.
In addition, Gemma Lionello has been named to the newly established position of president of Nordstrom Rack, where she will be in charge of the organization’s Nordstrom Rack stores’ strategy and operations. She spent 11 years working for the retailer’s Nordstrom Rack division and previously held the position of general merchandise manager at Nordstrom.
