Fashion-tech brand Newme has partnered with actor and Gen Z fashion icon Anushka Sen to introduce its first workwear collection, WorkSenIty. Sen co-designed the line with Newme, marking the brand’s foray into professional wear.
With Gen Z entering the workplace in droves now—and ready to be a majority of new workers in the next few years—WorkSenIty has created a wardrobe that speaks their language. There are more than 500 pieces in the collection, such as structured co-ords, oversized blazers, soft tailoring, wide-leg trousers, and minimalist basics in soft pastels and muted colours.
“When we began Newme three years ago, our vision was to make fashion desirable and creative for Gen Z Indian women,” said Sumit Jasoria, Co-founder and CEO of Newme. “With WorkSenIty, we’re appearing for them as they enter into work, internships, or side hustles—taking their whole selves with them into each room they enter.”
He emphasised that working with Anushka Sen was a natural choice. “Anushka embodies the energy, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of this generation. Her hands-on approach from ideation to styling brought this collection to life with the authenticity that our audience has come to expect from us.”
Sen, who served as the project’s ‘Creative CEO’, called the partnership personal. “Workwear is usually not considered fashion, but it’s such a powerful place for Gen Z women to feel confident and seen,” she said. “With WorkSenIty, we were hoping to create something that would enable women to show up with courage to be themselves, with fashion that reflects who they truly are,” Sen added.
