M&S makes huge change to clothing after customers said they were ‘let down’. The well-known British clothing company has received recognition for drawing in younger customers with its sophisticated and fashionable offerings, which include wide-leg pants and day dresses.
However, devoted patrons expressed their disappointment with the chain’s new fashion approach. The standard skirts and pants, according to customers, are too long, and there aren’t enough neutral hues. According to the Telegraph, M&S has now acknowledged that they have shortened the length of their trousers in response to complaints from customers that they were too long.
A Marks & Spencer spokesman said, “Throughout the design process, our technical experts follow a robust fitting process and set of standards which is based on extensive UK sizing data – with a key focus on fit and comfort. For example, we’ve recently reduced the length of all our bottoms following feedback from customers.”
He continued by saying that nearly all of the company’s pants and jeans are offered in shorter lengths, and that over half of its dresses are accessible online in smaller sizes. November saw the arrival in stores and online of the new lengths for the trousers, which will vary based on the style, fit, and feedback for each item. Furthermore, it is said that the entire collection will be revamped by spring.
