White Stuff, the UK-based fashion and lifestyle brand that sells women’s and men’s clothing and accessories, has roped in Jo Jenkins as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Jenkins is expected to join White Stuff latest by spring 2018. She will replace outgoing CEO Jeremy Seigal, who is retiring from the business.
White Stuff currently runs 131 shops and 53 concessions within John Lewis, House of Fraser and other department store chains including 10 concessions and eight stand-alone shops in Germany.
The brand also operates three concessions in Belgium, two in Italy and runs an online platform Whitestuff.com as well.
Jenkins is currently working as Director of Clothing & Beauty at Marks & Spencer (M&S).
She started her tenure with M&S as its Womenswear, Lingerie and Beauty Director in 2013.
Jenkins’ resignation has come as a setback before the busy Christmas to M&S which had already initiated strategic moves to revive clothing sales by simplifying ranges, improving product and availability and reducing promotions.
M&S reported a 1.2 per cent drop in its like-for-like sales for the month if July 2017 in clothing and home segments.
Chief Executive Steve Rowe said that the company is moving in the right direction and noticing and improvement in sales.
