British fashion label Marks & Spencer (M&S) has announced the appointment of Eoin Tonge as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Eoin, currently working in Irish food company Greencore Group, will succeed Humphrey Singer, who resigned from his post in September last year.
Speaking about Eoin’s appointment, Steve Rowe, Chief Executive, M&S, said “Eoin’s appointment as a CFO concludes a rigorous search for a world-class finance director. He brings in-depth knowledge of food, as well as strategy and operations, and is another addition to the very strong management team we are building to transform M&S.”
Notably, many key executives have left M&S as Steve Rowe has been initiating efforts to turnaround M&S.
Expressing happiness, Eoin said “I am delighted to be taking on a new and exciting challenge with M&S, a key customer of Greencore’s. I believe Greencore to be in great shape, with a clear, compelling strategy for future growth and a strong leadership team to deliver it.”
Eoin will be joining M&S in June 2020.
