Italian fashion house Valentino has promoted Matteo Di Pasquale from Interim Chief Human Resources Officer, making the role permanent.
After Rosa Santamaria Maurizio left the Roman couture house in July of last year to join competitor Prada, Di Pasquale was appointed to the position of Compensation and Benefits Director. Di Pasquale had joined the company in 2021.
On 1st January 2024, Di Pasquale’s role—which requires him to report to CEO Jacopo Venturini—became permanent.
With a proven track record in HR departments, Di Pasquale joined Valentino in 2021, having previously worked for Mercedes-Benz, AbbVie, Accenture, and Hay Group.
In a € 1.7 billion agreement last July, luxury behemoth Kering acquired a 30 per cent stake in Valentino, with the option to acquire 100 per cent of the company.
The transaction is part of a larger strategic alliance between Mayhoola, the owner of Valentino, and Kering. In the future, the Qatari investment group may become a shareholder in Kering.
Not too long afterward, the Italian house reorganised its C-suite. Alessio Vannetti, the Chief Brand Officer, left in July and rejoined Gucci in a comparable capacity. He went to Gucci with fellow Valentino alumnus and current Creative Director Sabato De Sarno.
In addition, Yigit Turhan was designated Chief Marketing Officer by Valentino, Andrea Cappi as Chief E-commerce and Omnichannel Officer, and Laurent Bergamo as Chief Commercial Officer.
