German apparel company Marc Cain is entering the US market by launching its own website and showroom in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighbourhood.
It has 165 square meters and is situated on the top floor of the Chelsea Arts Building, which also houses other companies. The womenswear expert showcases its most recent collections there, which are currently offered at the recently opened US online store.
“The US is an important growth market for Marc Cain and we are continuing our expansion course,” said Stephen Belfer, managing director for Marc Cain in Canada and the US. “The opening of our NY showroom in Chelsea and the launch of the web shop underscore our commitment to the US market.”
Mark Cain already has two of its own locations in New York and New Jersey in addition to 75 retail partners in the US. For the remainder of the year, more expansion is anticipated. According to Bodelshausen, this entails establishing specific shop-in-shops and branching out into bigger sales channels.
Marc Cain opened its own online stores in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Luxembourg, Croatia, Greece, Romania, and Bulgaria in the middle of June. The brand is currently available in 28 markets, including Canada and numerous European nations, as a result of its entry into the US. Additionally, Marc Cain hopes to increase its footprint in Asia in the upcoming year.
