Mango, one of Europe’s leading fashion groups, has announced its investment in La Más Mona, a party dress and accessories rental platform, through its Mango StartUp Studio accelerator.
The investment includes financial support through a convertible participation loan and an acceleration program that will allow La Más Mona to learn first-hand from Mango professionals about scaling up their business model, technology, people management, and internationalisation of operations.
Additionally, Mango is launching a clothing rental pilot trial on its website via Mango Renting (www.mangorenting.com), offering customers greater versatility and flexibility in their choice of outfits. This is the third investment made by Mango StartUp Studio, which aims to promote innovation, detect new growth opportunities and develop new technologies or business models in the fashion industry.
Mango is prioritising technology and sustainability and is looking for companies and ideas at the development stage to make seed-capital investments that contribute to improving the customer experience and adding innovation to the fashion industry’s value chain. La Más Mona currently has 315,000 registered customers and 35,000 rented garments.
