Robert Johnston has been promoted to the role of Chief Operating Officer by The Lycra Company alongside Doug Kelliher being appointed to the role of Executive Vice President, Product.
Having previously served as Executive Vice President, Operations, Robert’s new expanded role will include product development, in addition to his existing responsibility of global manufacturing operations and IT. He will support growth opportunities identified by Doug’s team by managing R&D talent, lab resources and pilot production to drive innovation across the product portfolio.
Doug comes with over 30 years of product leadership experience at Timberland, Polartec, Velcro Companies and Milliken & Company. He will now lead the product management team of The Lycra Company in developing and implementing strategy across fibres, fabrics and garments.

The Lycra Company, earlier this year, promoted Melissa Riggs to the position of Chief Marketing
