In the latest fashion announcement, European multinational luxury goods conglomerate LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has appointed Serge Brunschwig as the new Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fendi, the high-end Italian fashion retail brand known for selling designer apparels, accessories and leather goods.
The house of Fendi was launched in 1925 by Adele and Edoardo Fendi. Its specialities include fur, ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes, fragrances, eyewear, timepieces and accessories.
Brunschwig’s appointment to the post is a part of an internal reshuffle in the company’s management. Brunschwig, who was previously Dior Homme Chairman and CEO, will report to Toni Belloni, LVMH Group Managing Director in this new role for Fendi.
He will replace Pietro Beccari, who has now been named the Chairman and CEO of Christian Dior Couture arm of LVMH, the world’s leading luxury products group that owns various fashion labels like Knenzo, Emilio Pucci, Christian Dior among others, and a retail network of over 4,370 stores worldwide.
Notably, LVMH recorded a revenue of € 42.6 billion in 2017, an increase of 13 per cent over the previous year.
Brunschwig joined the fashion group over two decades back and has held several key positions since then. Previously, he has been the MD of Louis Vuitton and Chairman & CEO of Céline. Later on, he joined Christian Dior Couture as CEO and became Chairman & CEO of Dior Homme.
