If reports are to be believed then US-based luxury fashion label Donna Karan New York (DKNY) is set to leave Indian market. The move is reportedly the result of the brand’s failure in grabbing the expected size of market in India.
Affirmative answers were given by various mall executives and store managers about the matter. “DKNY is packing and exiting India,” said a top executive of a mall in New Delhi, where the brand
closed its store recently.

However, DLF Brands denied DKNY’s complete exit from Indian market. “DKNY has closed a few
stores but will continue to operate four outlets all in DLF-owned malls in the National Capital Region. Also, we have shut two stores ne in Kolkata and one in Mumbai,” Timmy Sarna, Head of DLF Brands was quoted as saying.
It may be mentioned here that the brand made entry into Indian market through a tie-up with DLF
Brands.
